On Thursday, May 16th, Benzel-Busch is opening its doors to host The Mercedes-Benz Open Haus event from 2-8pm at our completely renovated and expanded facility.
This is an opportunity to experience the entire Mercedes-Benz lineup and receive an introduction to the 2014 E-Class, which will be available for test drives. It has been a year since a Benzel-Busch smart car led the way as hundreds of runners wound through beautiful New Jersey Palisades Interstate Park. Which means it’s once again time for the Escape to the Palisades Half Marathon and 5K.
This year’s race will be held on Sunday May 5th—thanks to Palisades Interstate Park Conservancy, EventPower and Benzel-Busch, this year’s presenting sponsor. Benzel-Busch is proud to be supporting this event and initiative for the betterment of our community, its history and our environment.
Escape to the Palisades is an annual race that supports The Palisades Interstate Park Commission in the rehabilitation of both scenic roads and (the currently blossoming) trails of The Palisades Interstate Park.
The Palisades Interstate Park Commission was created in 1900 to preserve the Palisades of the Hudson River from being defaced by massive stone quarries. And between 1916 and 1940, Henry Hudson Drive—also known as River Road—was constructed. It is now one of the oldest scenic routes in the country.
The race both starts and finishes at Ross Dock Park, in New Jersey. Costs include $40 for the 5K, which starts at 9:10, and $75 for the half marathon, which starts at 9:00am. For information about the course, visit http://www.escapetopalisades.com/The_Course.html.

Benzel-Busch of New Jersey Supports Family Promise of Bergen County at 14th Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser
Posted on May 1, 2013In economically unstable times, staying afloat can be a serious challenge—especially for a family earning minimum wage.
In Bergen County, we are lucky to have a local organization dedicated to helping those families: Family Promise of Bergen County. Family Promise was founded in 1986 to provide sheltering programs exclusively for working families who become homeless. Families can also count on the organization for meals, education, transportation, daycare and other resources meant to help people get back on their feet, comfortably.
Family Promise, in turn, relies heavily on the Bergen County community for support. This is the third consecutive year that Benzel-Busch has donated a hole-in-one-prize vehicle (2013 Mercedes-Benz C300 4MATIC Sport Sedan) to the organization’s annual Golf Outing fundraiser. It’s an event, now in its 14th year, which has consistently raised tens of thousands of dollars for the nonprofit. This year, the group is hoping to raise $40,000, which will allow Family Promise to continue to provide these vital services to homeless families and their children.
Tickets for the outing—which incudes lunch, a round of golf, a cocktail reception and dinner—can be found at www.bergenfamilypromise.org for $350 a piece (or $75 a piece for the reception and dinner only). Attendees will also have a chance to buy into a 50/50 raffle, where they could win as much as $25,000.

There are organizations that we’ve consistently partnered with for years (Englewood Hospital and Medical Center and BergenPAC), and those that we’ve just recently discovered.

- Englewood Hospital and Medical Center’s (EHMC) 2013 black-tie Gala on May 4th. Benzel-Busch is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor. The event will feature entertainment by Emmy award-winning comedian Dana Carvey and will raise funds to support EHMC’s state-of-the-art clinical programs—which reach over one million people. So, we’ve found that when it comes to educating our Benzel-Busch, Audi Meadowlands, and smart center Englewood drivers about their cars, a video can be invaluable.
This month, you can access a brand new library of how-to videos on our website. The videos have a threefold purpose: 1) to educate customers on all of the obvious—and not-so-obvious—features of their Mercedes-Benz, Audi and smart vehicles, 2) to help drivers get the most out of their cars, at their convenience, and 3) to do so without having to thumb through a manual.

Every month, Bergen county’s (201) Magazine shines a spotlight on the styles, people, estates and lifestyles that make Bergen… well, Bergen: one of the most affluent regions in the country.
Every year, the magazine gathers readers’ votes, as well as editor and celebrity picks, to reveal the community’s most beloved businesses in shopping, dining, having fun and more. The winners of the poll will be revealed in (201)’s Best of Bergen February 2013 issue, coinciding with the (201) Best of Bergen bash at the Hackensack Golf Club on February 6th in Oradell.
The event is invitation only and will include all of this year’s winners, of whom there are repeats, new businesses—some upsets and some surprises. Over 300 people are expected to attend, more than any other year thus far.
Benzel-Busch is excited to be among the first sponsors of the celebration, and we’ll be part of the main event with two beautiful Mercedes vehicles in tow—the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class and the award winning 2013 Motor Trend Sport/Utility of the Year, the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUV.

The Roadside Assistance Program offers “on-call” help 24 hours a day. So, whether you have car trouble at 2:00am or in the middle of the day, the Roadside Assistance Program offers around the clock complimentary services for flat tires, dead batteries, or if you are out of fuel, for eligible vehicles* covered under any Mercedes-Benz warranty as part of its Sign and Drive program.
Just dial our Roadside Assistance 800 number, 1-800-FOR-MERCedes (1-800-367-6372)—or hit the Wrench Button on your armrest or overhead console if your vehicle is equipped with mbrace™ and you are a mbrace™ subscriber—and we’ll dispatch our expert personnel to you. Even if your vehicle is out of the warranty period, if you’ve spent at least $100 at Benzel-Busch within the 18-month period prior to your roadside call, you are eligible for coverage.
