Just in time for the warmer months, Benzel-Busch is announcing two highly anticipated convertibles both coming this June: the 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet and the new 2017 Mercedes-Benz SL. When it comes to these stunning, thrilling, summery vehicles, it may be hard to pick just one.
We’ve been waiting for this since the C-Class Cabriolet’s last appearance in 1971: introducing the 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet, the sleek, comfortable, powerful convertible you’ve been fantasizing about. With the option of either a 4.7 liter or hand-built AMG 5.5 liter V8 biturbo engine, the new S-Class Cabriolet reaches up to an astonishing 577 horsepower, and can zoom from zero to 60 in just 4.5 seconds. Available now are the S550 and S63 AMG models with the S65 on its way later this summer.
Of course, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet also boasts signature Mercedes-Benz technological features that are lightyears ahead of the pack. THERMOTRONIC intelligent climate control technology keeps things perfectly comfortable on the inside, with 30 automatic sensors and actuators putting in the work. The Cabriolet’s AIRCAP system protects against wind and turbulence, helping to maintain a smooth drive. Finally, an AIRSCARF neck-level heating system keeps things warm even when the top is down, which means you can take the Cabriolet for a cruise even if the temperature isn’t cooperating. The soft top can open or close at speeds up to 37 mph in less than 20 seconds.
Of course, all of that top-of-the-line technology is complemented by a bold, stylish exterior and a supremely comfortable interior, with available one-of-a-kind, exclusive designo handcrafted nappa leather seats. An optional ENERGIZING massage seat function is also available with six different programs and optional hot-stone massage function. The new S-Class Cabriolet also includes the well-known Mercedes-Benz intelligent drive and safety systems, allowing you to focus on the road and enjoy the ride.
The 2017 S-Class Cabriolet isn’t the only convertible Mercedes-Benz is debuting this summer. The SL stands for “Super Light,” and this facelifted SL shows off an improved lightweight design. Building on its sixty years of sports-car firsts, engine options range from V6 to V12, zero to 60 times as low as 3.9 seconds in one of its two AMG models, and a comfortable range of DYNAMIC SELECT driving modes, the sporty SL puts you in complete control behind the wheel whether you are looking for a relaxed, elegant and comfortable experience, or a drive that’s dynamic, and sporty on winding roads for maximum performance-oriented results.
Add to that its LED headlamps, exclusive leather finishes and trims, and an incredibly colorful and sporty aesthetic, and the SL is as beautiful and comfortable a convertible as Mercedes-Benz has ever produced. And just like the S-Class Cabriolet, the SL is enhanced by the latest and greatest Mercedes-Benz safety features and technologies, including PRE-SAFE, ATTENTION ASSIST, and Active Blind Spot Assist. Though its name has been around for decades, driving the SL feels like taking a trip into the future.
