Easy to Charge at Home and on the Go

MB Charging Blog

If you’re considering a new Mercedes-Benz electric vehicle but are confused (or maybe even concerned) about charging it, you can relax. Mercedes-Benz makes charging quick, easy, and widely available.

At-Home Charging

You have two ways to charge up while you settle down.

Level 1: Plug into a standard household outlet.

As easy as plugging in any electrical device, Level 1 uses a standard three-pronged 120V household outlet. Although this method is not recommended for regular use, it is simple, requires no special equipment, and can get you the charge you need in a pinch.

Level 2: Use a dedicated circuit for faster charging at home.

To get more power in less time, Level 2 charges your vehicle through a dedicated circuit. This method is safe, efficient, and cost-effective. Mercedes-Benz recommends Qmerit to help arrange for a licensed electrician to install and hardwire a ChargePoint Home Flex wallbox.

Charging on the Go

Take road trips with confidence, knowing you have plenty of charging choices.

Level 3: DC Fast-Chargers – The fastest way to charge.

You’ve probably seen these charging stations in parking garages or shopping centers. Simply plug in your vehicle and a DC fast charger will take your battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in about thirty minutes—enough time to enjoy a coffee or run into the store.

Mercedes me Charge – Plug into 60,000 locations across the country.

Mercedes me Charge—and its handy Mercedes me connect app—gives you access to the largest integrated charging network in the U.S. Even if you’re far from home, you’ll be able to find the closest locations and activate charging quickly and easily.

As electric vehicles continue to grow in popularity, options for charging them will continue to expand. If you’re ready to see if an EV is right for you, let us know. We’ll arrange a test-drive in the sedan or SUV of your choice.
