Benzel-Busch Partners with the Liberty Science Center

smart center Englewood powered by Benzel-Busch Motor Car Corp is proud to support the Liberty Science Center.  The Gala is the center's largest annual fundraising – and friendraising – event, generating $1 million in revenue and attracting 500 to 600 distinguished guests from the region’s corporate, government and community sectors.  Event organizers sought the partnership with smart center Englewood due to the smart car's green and sustainable vehicle attributes.  The smart car boasts fuel ratings above 40 MPG, components that are 95% recycled and recyclable, and was derived from a sustainable production methodology.  The smart car is certified as a SmartWay vehicle for its low air pollutant and greenhouse gas scores by the Environmental Protection Agency. The smart fortwo leaves a small carbon footprint on the American landscape.

Liberty Science Center engages diverse audiences in relevant issues that connect nature, humanity and technology. Through innovative and meaningful experiences, we inspire action to strengthen communities and advance global stewardship.  This year's gala theme will be based on environmental awareness and sustainability, at which the center is recognizing Dr. Jane Goodall for 50 years of her pioneering chimpanzee research in Gombe, Africa.  The 2011 Gala will be held Friday, April 8th.  For more information on the Liberty Science Center and the 2011 Citizen Science Gala please visit www.lsc.org.
