MBOC Protection Plan
Three vehicle protection programs, a $1,250 value, included at no charge with every new and pre-owned car and SUV you buy from Mercedes-Benz of Orange County. Each covers your first year of ownership. Claims are limited to $1,000 in total across the dent, key and tire programs. Plus free New York State inspections for as long as you own your vehicle.
1. Dent & Ding Protection
Small dents, dings and creases are common, and most are not worth an insurance claim. Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) by expert technicians keeps your vehicle looking like new, absolutely free for your first year of ownership.

2. Key / Remote Replacement
Replacing a modern key or remote typically costs $400 to $800. If your key or remote is lost, stolen or destroyed within your first year of ownership, we cover the cost of replacing it, up to $800.

3. Road Hazard Tire Protection
Potholes, debris and fallen objects cause most flat tires. For your first year of ownership, we cover tire damage caused by a road hazard.

4. Free NY State Inspections
New York requires a state inspection every year. Buy your car or SUV from us and your New York State inspection is free, for as long as you own your vehicle.

Each program can be extended for up to five years, and tire coverage can be expanded to include your wheels and rims. Ask your Business Manager for details when you buy.
Eligible pre-owned vehicles: 6-Month Limited Powertrain Warranty
Eligible vehicles only: not every vehicle comes with this warranty. An eligible vehicle's price breakdown lists it as included.
Eligible pre-owned cars and SUVs from Mercedes-Benz of Orange County come with the selling dealer's Limited Powertrain Warranty at no additional charge: 6 months from the date of sale, unlimited miles, no deductible. New vehicles, Certified Pre-Owned vehicles (Mercedes-Benz or Genesis) and Mercedes-Benz Vans do not come with it. Coverage is set by the written limited warranty, which you can read before you buy: ask your salesperson for a copy.
What's covered
Repairs to these parts when they fail because of a defect in materials or workmanship:
Engine
All internally lubricated parts, including the crankshaft, camshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, bearings, valves, lifters and timing chain or belt; the cylinder block and heads; the intake and exhaust manifolds; the oil pump, water pump, harmonic balancer and engine mounts.
Turbocharger
Factory-installed turbochargers only: internally lubricated parts, housing, wastegate, vanes, shafts and bearings.
Automatic transmission
All internally lubricated parts, the case, torque converter, gears and shafts, clutch plates, bands, drums, pump, servo and valve body.
Manual transmission
All internally lubricated parts, the case, gears, shafts and synchronizers. The clutch and its hydraulics, linkage, cables and shifter are not covered.
All-wheel and four-wheel drive
All internally lubricated parts and the transfer case, with its chains, gears and bearings.
Drive axles
The axle housing, ring and pinion and differential gears, axle shafts, drive shafts, universal joints, front hub bearings and CV joints (as long as their boots are not torn or damaged).
Also covered with a covered repair
Seals and gaskets, the fluids the repair needs, labor at standard guide times, and up to one hour of diagnosis.
Repairs may use new, remanufactured or used parts of like kind and quality.
What's not covered
- Anything not listed as covered, including suspension, steering, brakes, electrical and air-conditioning parts
- Normal wear and tear, and maintenance items and services
- Repairs a manufacturer's warranty, emissions warranty, recall or factory bulletin already covers
- Damage from collision, abuse, misuse, racing, towing or overloading, running without proper oil or coolant, or continuing to drive a vehicle that is already impaired
- Parts that have been modified or tampered with, or changed from the manufacturer's specifications
- Hoses, rubber parts, fasteners and CV joint boots
- Vehicles used commercially: commercial use voids the warranty
- Repairs outside the continental United States and Canada, unless the selling dealer agrees in writing first
- Loss of use, inconvenience, and other incidental or consequential costs
Getting a repair, and the conditions
- Call the selling dealer for authorization before any repair.
- If the vehicle is within 50 miles of the selling dealer, the repair is done there.
- If a covered part fails outside business hours and the vehicle can't be driven, a licensed repair shop may make the repair; call the selling dealer on the next business day for reimbursement.
- Keep the vehicle maintained on the manufacturer's schedule and keep every receipt: missing maintenance records void the coverage.
- The warranty belongs to the buyer and this vehicle only. It cannot be transferred, and it ends if the vehicle is sold, traded or declared a total loss.
- Coverage ends 6 months after the date of sale. There is no mileage limit.
- The most the warranty pays is the vehicle's NADA clean trade-in value just before the breakdown.

The powertrain section is a summary, not the warranty itself. Only vehicles sold with the written Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty (Powertrain Coverage) are covered. It is provided by the selling dealer and administered by New Global Administrators, LLC; its terms, conditions and exclusions govern. It limits implied warranties to its own duration where the law allows, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.
